The Fanpost History Week thread: 2K style

So I'm going to bring the History week over to the Fan section and apply the 2k Association factor to it. When I did play 2k, I enjoyed taking different teams to try and build from to create dynasty's. So what Celtics team, would you start with to build a Dynasty?

Rules wise, I am going to say pick a draft and either the team that ended before the draft or the team they started the following season with.

So, I am going keep the team at the end of the 2005 season that finished with:

Gary Payton, Ricky Davis, Paul Pierce, Antoine Walker, Raef Lafrentz

Marcus Banks, Delonte West, Tony Allen, Al Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins

They Drafted Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes and Orien Greene.

I really liked this team even though it was short lived, but I felt if they had a full season together, they would have been one of the best in the East.

What I think makes it a good starting point is The best players were still young. Davis 25, Pierce 27, Walker and Lafrentz 28. Then Jefferson and perk were only 20 and Tony Allen was 23. Then you bring in Gerald Green out of High School. So I think there was good established players in their primes along with young talent.

Eventually I would look to bring Jefferson in the starting lineup and look to trade some combination of Delonte with Lafrentz or Perkins to bring in a younger Point Guard who could take over for Payton. Either Ricky or Gerald could have been used as trade assets as well. I think there was decent potential in assets to make a move that would bring in a fringe all star caliber player somewhere along the lines.
