Christmas might still be months away, but Boston Celtics fans got an early present Friday.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that according to sources the Boston Celtics will once again be apart of the NBA’s slate of games scheduled for Christmas Day.
And the C’s opponent on the holiday? Nonother than the defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors with the game set to be played at Scotiabank Arena.

It will be the fourth straight season the Celtics have played on Christmas Day with the C’s defeating the Philadelphia 76ers in overtime in their most recent holiday matchup. The Celtics also went up against the New York Knicks (119-114 win) and Washington Wizards (111-103 loss) on Christmas Day in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
In franchise history, the Celtics hold a 14-18 record on Christmas Day.
Wojnarowski also tweeted that the Los Angeles Clippers-Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans-Denver Nuggets were two other presumed matchups for Christmas Day.
