In the midst of playing five games in seven days, the Boston Celtics need a jolt of energy, especially after falling flat to the Washington Wizards on Monday.

Getting their starting point guard back in the lineup should provide one.

On his weekly appearance on the 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak and Bertrand show, Brad Stevens said Kemba Walker, who missed three consecutive games due to flu-like symptoms, will play Wednesday night when the Celtics host the San Antonio Spurs. Stevens added that Walker ‘won’t be playing his regular minutes’ in his return to the court.

The C’s also called up fan favorite center Tacko Fall for the next two games as Stevens said on his radio hit that Robert Williams, who is battling a hip injury and has been out for a month, won’t be playing “anywhere in the near, near future.”

While the Celtics have a tough back-to-back as they travel for a road tilt with the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday after facing the Spurs, the 76ers won’t have their full allotment of players.

Philadelphia ruled out center Joel Embiid for the matchup against the C’s. That’s a welcomed sight for Boston as Embiid torched the C’s for 38 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in their last encounter.
