Could Celtics beat the Lakers, Doc Rivers to 76ers reaction (Garden Report)

John Zannis, Josue Pavon, Jimmy Toscano and Bobby Manning discuss how the Celtics would’ve fared in the NBA Finals, Danny Ainge’s exit interview and Doc Rivers joining the 76ers.

The Garden Report crew returns as the Lakers raced to two blowout wins over the Heat to start the NBA Finals as Miami crumbled after injuries to Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo. An iconic performance from Jimmy Butler saved the Heat in Game 3, but would Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s squad at the health, cohesion levels they played at in the East Finals have been able to compete?

Danny Ainge discussed many possible routes for the Celtics this offseason during his exit interview, with his most solid assessment that they have lots of work to do and need to get better. Will they draft more young players, or will the team consolidate its youth and pursue veterans to help its core?

The Philadelphia 76ers hired Doc RIvers to a long term deal as their next head coach shortly after the Clippers fired him with two years remaining on his deal. After never reaching the West Finals in LA, even with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George last year, is he the right voice to mold Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, or does that pair still need to be split up?
