Bleacher Report Trade Thoughts

So I read a BR "Best trade for ever lottery team" article and it included 2 trades dealing with Boston (one as a recipient of a move up) and another as the 14th lottery team. And while there were a few overlapping players (meaning they intended for one not both) I actually really liked both moves together.

Here is the original article link:

Decided to goof around with the NBA Trade Machine and see if both could be completed together, rather than one or the other. Now I highly doubt either happens as I think Boston is the clear winner of each trade, but just posting to scratch my bball itch as I have no interest in the Finals this year really. So here is my take on similar trade involving all 3 teams and a short rationale for each team

Boston Receives: Jonas Valanciunas , Ignas Brazdeikis , Pick #8.

Knicks Receive: Romeo Langford , Carsen Edwards , Pick #14 , Pick #30

Grizzlies Receive: Robert Williams III , Enes Kanter , Vincent Poirier , Pick #26 , Pick #47

Boston : Boston gets more traditional center in Jonas that is safe for 15-10 a game and has a body better suited to bang with Embiid, Bam, Etc. in the east. Brazdeikis is filler to not gut the roster and make money work. Pick #8 allows them to grab a higher end player from the draft that can truley be BPA at that point. In the range I like Haliburton as an upgrade over Wanamaker and eventuall Kemba heir. I like Vassell as a high end 3&D player. If one of Wiseman or Okungwu dropped, they would be great value - high potential picks for the future. Doubtful either of them, or Toppin drops but he too would be a great piece to add as an initial scorer off the bench and eventual Hayward heir.

Knicks : The article does a good job explaining. NYK needs talent, Romeo is young with potential, 14 is lower than 8 but still in the range to land a decent prospect. 30 is another shot to add young talent to a roster that is essentially Barret and Robinson right now. Edwards is filler, but also a change of scenery is needed for him.

Grizz : Probably gets the worst deal out. However Timelord is a better fit age wise for the team, Kanter can give you similar style and production to Valanciunas, and Memphis gets back into the first round (and an addtl pick in the 2nd) to add to a young roster that needs a bit more filling out.

Doesn't seem like one team is egrigously winning, though it appears might make more sense for Boston and NYK than Grizzlies. But out of all the garbo BR tends to throw out, I do like these ideas. Thoughts?
