Tremont Waters hasn’t spent much of the season with Boston Celtics, but the rookie guard has made the most of his opportunity with the Maine Red Claws in the G League.
On Monday, Waters, who was selected at No. 51 overall by the Celtics in last June’s draft and is on a two-way contract, was named to the Eastern Conference Midseason All-NBA G League Team, which is comparable to that of an All-Star selection.

In 26 games with the Red Claws, Waters showcased his skillset by averaging 19.5 points, 7.8 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game. For Waters, he ranks in the Top 5 in the G League in both assists and steals.
This isn't the only recognition Waters has earned with the Red Claws this season as he was named the NBA G League Player of the Month for November and has twice been named a G League Player of the Week.
While spending most of his time with the Red Claws, Waters has played in nine contests for the Celtics in which he tallied 3.1 points in 8.1 minutes per game.
