Must C’s: Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum one-two punch in Portland

At the half, the pair of franchise cornerstones have combined for 25 points.

Jayson Tatum has been stealing the headlines since his first All-Star break, but Jaylen Brown has been nearly impressive. Tatum followed up his 39-point center stage performance against the Los Angeles Clippers before the All-Star Game with 28 in Minnesota and a dominant 41 vs. the Lakers. Brown has scored 45 points in the last two.

Tonight in Portland, they’ve taken turns against the Trailblazers. Tatum paced the Celtics

Tatum scored eight points in the first quarter.

Brown went for 12 in the second.

With Kemba Walker still nursing a sore knee, the young duo have paced the Celtics on this west coast trip. Boston is up 56-48 at halftime.
