Marcus Smart has been fined $35k by the NBA per Adrian Wojnarowski, following his altercation with officials during the Celtics overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Smart’s anger was incited by a foul call towards the end of regulation, resulting in Caris Lavert sinking three free-throws to take the game into overtime. Smart then found further issue with the officials as he fouled out of the game during the ensuing overtime.

After the game ended, Smart was then caught on camera berating the officials decisions with the game on the line. That outburst led to Smart being escorted off the court in an attempt to deescalate the situation.

Thankfully, Smart will not face a suspension, leaving him free to face the Utah Jazz on Friday night.
