Rivers recently said he hopes that Ray Allen will attend Kevin Garnett’s jersey retirement. Allen responded to that this week on the Cedric Maxwell Podcast, joining CLNS Media to discuss what’s preventing him from reuniting with his Celtics teammates from the championship.
“My character has been assassinated often,” Allen said. “It’s not just this situation … my intentions were always to win basketball games, and oftentimes I got the blame … because I could take it.”
