On what feels like Groundhog Day everyday, Celtics fans were treated to something a little different when Tacko Fall and Jaylen Brown took over NBA Instagram. In just under 30 minutes, both Brown and Tacko found a way to create some meme worthy content.

It started off very cordially with Jaylen complimenting Tacko’s game and stating he was very happy to have him as a teammate, but soon turned a corner when Jaylen mentioned Tacko’s forays on TikTok.

Jaylen proceeded to put Tacko under pressure to perform his TikTok dance live, right there on the spot, even offering to take part if Tacko would teach him. While reluctant at first, continually trying to change the subject by asking Brown about what books he’s reading, Tacko eventually gave in. With nowhere to hide, fans were treated to the “Tootsie Slide” from both of the Celtics favorites, with Jaylen clearly having the better moves.

What followed was a little more somber, with both players discussing the current pandemic that has placed the world on pause. That discussion all began when Tacko asked Jaylen if he would be taking part in the next Olympics, which Brown replied, “do you know something I don’t?” As the discussion flowed, Jaylen provided his thoughts on the pandemic both scientifically and politically, with Tacko also opening up that his family are currently in New York.

Almost right on cue, the mood began to pick back up when Tacko decided he wanted to show the world his guitar skills. In total honesty, Tacko was actually quite good as he began to perform a small rendition of a Bob Marley song, which took Brown three attempts to guess.

Speaking of Jaylen, someone really needs to show him some highlight reels of those who came before him; Tacko listed Charles Oakley among his favorite NBA players and Jaylen had no idea who he was.

Tacko also listed Shaquille O’Neal and Hakeem Olajuwon among his all time favorites, too. Jaylen gave a shout out to the rest of the team, referring to Javonte Green as “Woo” and almost forgetting to mention Gordon Hayward until the fans in the comments section gave him a friendly reminder.

All in all, it was an enjoyable 30 minutes, both of the players were engaged throughout and the conversation flowed with ease. For content-starved fans, these Instagram Live sessions are a great way to get to know the players as individuals more, while still getting some form of basketball based content on a daily basis.
