Game 6

Wow what a crap game. Lots went wrong and if im being quite honest I have little to confidence right now heading into game 7.

1. This was the first time in a long time I missed Kyrie Irving. Kemba was colder than cold, and it got into his head. No it doesn't help this was the worst officiated game ive seen these playoffs, with the refs so clearly favoring Toronto is laughable, but still... If thats the Kemba we get game 7, might as well start Wanamaker.

2. Poor shot selection in Qtr 2 and 3. I think we had a run of 7 straight threes with only 1 make at one point. When they weren't shooting poor threes Tatum and Brown were fading away from 18 feet. Once again, it doesn't help that when you get clobbered in the paint the refs do nothing, but still need more transition when we have numbers. Can't slow it up, dribble top of the key for 18 seconds then have to make something out of nothing with the other 6.

3. You could see it here and there last series and a few times this series, but Gordon Hayward is the glue guy. He makes the machine go. People undervalued what his loss meant. He is arguably our 2nd best ball handler, is money from mid range, and knows his role. He was sorely missed in all facets of the game tonight.

Those are my big 3 from the night that cost us the game. Those and of course the refs.

A few positives though

1. Daniel Theis pretty much dragged us thru overtime and played a great game.

2. Jaylen Brown shouldered the load early and continues to show he was an all star snub.

3. Brad Wanamaker, in his role, continues to get my confidence each game. He has a few bonehead plays when he plays out of his role, but he is good at his role player position on a young team.

Hoping they prove me wrong and come out poised and confident Game 7. This series should have been over long ago, and I honestly just think we are vastly more talented. Just need to put it together (and not get donged by the refs for once).
