After postponing the last three games due to COVID-related health and safety protocols, the Celtics return to the floor tonight against the visiting Orlando Magic.
Finally game day .. felt like forever since we’ve played @celtics— Tristan Thompson (@RealTristan13) January 15, 2021
We feel you, TT. It’s been a week since Boston took the floor at TD Garden last Friday against the Washington Wizards. Since then, games against the Miami Heat (Sunday), in Chicago (Tuesday), and the Magic (Wednesday) have been postponed.
Yesterday, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams were removed from the injury report after spending the required seven days in isolation after protocols ruled them out due to proximity to Robert Williams who tested positive for the coronavirus. However, Jaylen Brown, Javonte Green, and Daniel Theis were questionable heading into today.
Here’s the latest from the team this afternoon:

With that influx of healthy bodies, the Celtics will have twelve players on the roster tonight. Along with Timelord, Jayson Tatum is still out after testing positive on January 9th. The league requires players with COVID-19 to be isolated for 10-14 days. Carsen Edwards is still in the health and safety protocols as well. Romeo Langford is currently rehabbing from wrist surgery and could return to action in February. However, the long awaited return of Kemba Walker is just on the horizon. Walker practiced yesterday and is ramping up to re-join the team in the coming days.
