Al Horford joins Jaylen Brown and Romeo Langford on injury report

The injury bug biting the Boston Celtics early and often

Jaylen Brown (Left Patella Tendinopathy) and Romeo Langford (Left Calf Tightness) missed last night’s Rockets game. Brown is listed as “questionable” again and Romeo is “doubtful” tonight.

Joining them on the list is now Al Horford with what is being called Left Adductor Strain and he’s listed as questionable. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is more of an excuse to get Horford a rest day on the second night of a back-to-back. At 35 years old he could probably point to any number of nagging aches and pains. Then again, at this age any time he shows up on the injury list is something to keep an eye on.

With Horford likely out, we’ll see how Ime decides to handle the starting lineup and rotations. Perhaps Grant Williams will be rewarded with another start following his strong performance against Houston. Dennis Schröder got the start in place of Jaylen Brown, so I would expect that again tonight.

Stay tuned for updates as we approach game time.
