Today's ESPN story by Tim Bontemps

Great article by Tim Bontemps at ESPN.com today. He cites scouts and coaches around the league and the result is an unvarnished assessment of the 2021-2022 Celtics.

The article is uncomplimentary to our two stars for reasons that are familiar: "Jaylen and Jayson aren't making anyone better," a Western Conference scout said. "I put that on them."

And there's this: "Jayson Tatum is about Jayson Tatum," an Eastern Conference assistant coach said. "I don't think he cares about winning now, and if he does, it is on his terms. He doesn't want to score 15 and win. He wants to score 39 and win."

I hope our guys read it!

In addition, Bontemps is matter-of-fact about our roster and he isn't' too hopeful about the future of team-building. Acquiring that critical third star is going to be difficult. He concludes that the team is stuck in neutral.

Anyway, I'm sure all the diehards on this blog have already read the piece. What did you think of it? My opinion is that I think Jayson has gotten the message and he is really trying to alter his game. I'm less certain about Jaylen--those assist numbers are not promising.
