Kemba Walker Hits GAME WINNER vs Clippers
Kemba Walker hit a GAME WINNER on a stepback for the Celtics in crunch time before Tristan Thompson, Kemba and Grant Williams sealed a win over the Clippers at the free throw line. Jayson Tatum stole the ball from Nic Batum in transition trailing by one after Boston had overcome a 16 point deficit and he turned the ball over down one. Kemba finished the back-and-forth swings of the fourth with a pull-up at the elbow with 30 seconds left after regaining the ball. Walker finished with 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting in a bounce back performance from his recent inconsistency.
Carsen Edwards Has Best Game with Celtics vs Clippers
Carsen Edwards entered for the Celtics after the Clippers took a double digit lead against the “three big” Boston lineup, and he drilled his first three triples. Edwards finished 5-of-8 with 16 points and played deep into the fourth quarter to reach 30 minutes of playing time, his most successful and involved playing time in the NBA in a close game against one of the best teams in the league. Is he in the rotation now after a solid few weeks that impressed Brad Stevens between practice and game action? The Garden Report debated.
Payton Pritchard Shines in Return from Knee Injury
Payton Pritchard returned from his knee injury two weeks ago against the 76ers with eight points off the Celtics bench in limited minutes in Boston’s win vs the Clippers. His pair of threes proved critical in the second half while his playmaking reflected his early success. The Garden Report debates the impact of Pritchard going forward without Marcus Smart, and once again predict his ceiling as an NBA player.
