Celtics PRIDE podcast: Boston vs. Brooklyn, TPE expectations, and this week’s games

After a letdown in Brooklyn and blowout of the Rockets, the crew looks at this week’s slate of games and more importantly, ahead to the NBA trade deadline.

On this episode of Celtics PRIDE, Adam, Josh, and Mike discuss the recent loss to Brooklyn and the blowout of Houston. This includes the Celtics inability to put together 48 minutes of good defense and, well, the fact that Kyrie Irving is good at basketball. Mike argues that Brooklyn is a real title contender and better than Boston. The guys also discuss Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s ability to be lead facilitators for a title team before moving on to the trade deadline.

With fan expectations for the TPE seemingly too high, the CelticsPride team worries about what will happen if the Celtics do not trade the TPE this year. Each host gives their predictions on if a deal will happen and how large it will be. Mike and Adam review front offices’ history of manipulating the media as a negotiation tactic and the lackluster list of players mentioned in rumors connected to the Celtics.

Then the guys look ahead to the next four games including a big game against Utah tonight as well as what each of them need to see from the Celtics to prove that they have turned a corner in this season.

About Celtics PRIDE Podcast: Co-Hosts Adam Motenko, his identical twin brother Josh Motenko, and their friend Mike Minkoff couldn’t stop talking about the team. Now they supply your need for Boston Celtics content with their regular podcast on CelticsBlog.

They will talk nerdy to you, dissect the players on and off the court, and bicker like only opinionated New Englanders can. It’s like if CelticsBlog made a BasketballJones / Dunc’dOn lovechild.

You will get the coach’s perspective, the capologist’s view, and a healthy dose of advanced and traditional stats that breakdown everything that happened and could happen with the #1 dynasty in the NBA. If you often find yourself reminiscing about the players you grew up watching, or you just need reminders about what “being a Celtic” means to you, this is the podcast for you. This is Celtics PRIDE!
