The Celtics lost to the Jazz at home, 117-109, falling 40-30 in the fourth quarter after entering the final frame ahead by two points. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker were rolling early and stalled late. Daniel Theis committed five fouls. Robert Williams III played well, but only logged 22 minutes with Tristan Thompson down. Semi Ojeleye and Grant Williams provided little on the wing.

NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics Could Send Tristan Thompson to Raptors
Chris Haynes reported that the Celtics could trade Tristan Thompson to the Raptors, but did not float possible packages Boston could get back. They range from expiring contracts, to Aron Baynes and maybe a larger package for OG Anunoby if Toronto continues to lose. Thompson reportedly had interest in returning to his home city before it was announced the Raptors would play in Tampa.
