It’s been nearly two hundred days since Romeo Langford has seen the floor as a Boston Celtic. A stomach bug limited him at the start of the Orlando bubble then he tore ligaments in his wrist then he suffered a right abductor strain then he had offseason wrist surgery then he missed the first half of the 2020-2021 season rehabbing then when he was set to return on March 11th, he was put in the NBA’s health and safety protocols with a positive COVID test.
To say the least, it was a long time coming for the 14th pick, but it might have been worth it. In his first minutes of action, Langford put together this defense-to-offense sequence:
That’s Langford stuffing Miles Bridges who competed in the Slam Dunk Contest back in 2019. Romeo would later add an assist and a rebound to his game totals in the Celtics wire-to-wire 116-86 blowout of the Hornets.
