Here are some key dates and notes:
- After starting the season on October 20th in Madison Square Garden against Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier, and the New York Knicks, the Celtics play their first home game on October 22nd vs. the Toronto Raptors.
- Through October and November, Boston has a fairly even split of home games (10) and road games (11). Last year, they played fifteen of their twenty-three games away from TD Garden.
- The team travels to Milwaukee for Christmas Day.
- There are fifteen back-to-backs, most in the league, scattered throughout the year.
- The Celtics will be featured on national television thirty-two times on ESPN (11), NBATV (10), TNT (7), and ABC (4) that include marquee matchups like November 12th hosting the world champion Milwaukee Bucks, December 7th in Los Angeles against the Lakers, and February 24 vs. the Brooklyn Nets after All-Star Weekend.

- The Celtics will retire Kevin Garnett’s #5 to the rafters on March 13th with the Dallas Mavericks in TD Garden that night.
- The Play-In Tournament is scheduled for April 12-15 with the playoffs beginning on April 16th. The tentative start to The NBA Finals is June 2nd.
