We wrapped up our 2021 CelticsBlog fantasy draft yesterday using the sixteen players currently on the roster. To review, we used a snake draft structure to make the picks and tried as best we could to fit players into their proper positions.

Here are Part I and Part II and eventually, how everything shook out:

2021 CelticsBlog Fantasy Draft

Team Bjarnar Team Taylor Team Sy
Team Bjarnar Team Taylor Team Sy
Dennis Schroder Payton Pritchard Marcus Smart
Jason Richardson Jaylen Brown Aaron Nesmith
Jayson Tatum Grant Williams Sam Hauser
Juancho Hernangomez Jabari Parker Romeo Langford
Enes Kanter Al Horford Robert Williams

So, who won the draft? The CelticsBlog staff weighs in:

Rich Jensen: Gonna have to go with Adam’s on this one, but just barely. Horford-Brown seems like the best two-man combo among the three teams, and Horford-Brown-Pritchard the best three-man combo.

I have to admire Bill’s decision to go with Marcus Smart and four guys on rookie contracts though. That’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off.

Bobby Manning: I’m picking Will’s, because of Jayson Tatum. Just kidding. He also has two quality point of attack defensive guards who can get their own shot on defense, plus Tatum’s defense. Enes Kanter would likely hurt Robert Williams and Al Horford on the boards even if he struggles defensively. Juancho Hernangomez adds some size to a pretty formidable front court. This is the most physical, versatile team of the three with Tatum to handle the offensive load. Adam’s team would struggle on defense around Jaylen Brown. Bill’s has a ton of spacing from shooters and Rob on lobs, but lacks the Jays.

Michael Pearce: I too will pick Will’s squad, solely because i think 3-5 they’ll be too hard to contain. Having Tatum is a cheat code, and it was a good draft to have the first pick. Conversely? A horrible spot for Bill to be in. I think with the defensive backcourt of Richardson and Schroder, Will achieved the perfect balance of offense and defense, despite being all concentrated in either the frontcourt or backcourt. Will understood the assignment

Daniel Poarch: It’s just hard to pass up the team that has Jayson Tatum. Shooting is a bit of an issue — you’re really counting on Juancho to turn the clock back to 2018 — and there isn’t even a smidgeon of rim protection. But Tatum is the rising tide that lifts all ships, so Will’s roster is my pick. Adam’s roster should light up some offensive fireworks, though, and Bill made the best of there not being enough Jays to go around.

Now it’s your turn. Who ya got?
