The Celtics have eight Traded Player Exceptions and will probably try to use some of them to acquire players in a trade. Here are my questions:

1. If the Celtics use a TPE to acquire a player, does the other team now have a TPE or does it simply expire?

2. What are some scenarios where a team would be willing to make a trade if the player they are trading to Boston is valued so much more (salary wise) than what they will get in return?
