Raptors Celtics Analysis with GSW recap

Current Record (8-4)

THIS IS WHY WE DO IT. Wow, what an absolutely epic game on the court and in my sportsbook account. We went a nice and certainly stress-free (4-0) on the night and a red-hot 7-1 over the last 2 games.

W

Jayson Tatum over 31.5 points

Al Horford over 1.5 3’s

Under 240.5

Draymond over 6.5 rebounds

It wasn’t pretty by any means, Tatum struggled from the floor all night, Al didn’t hit his first 3 until late in the game and with all the star power on the floor, you were expecting someone to walk it off. JB looked like someone coming off an injury up until 4 minutes left in the game and hit a massive game-tying 3 to force overtime. Draymond was the star of the show cashing his over halfway through the first quarter. Overtime was magical as a Celtics fan and bettor; on back-to-back possessions, we saw an Al three to cash his over and then a Tatum three to cash his and put the game to bed. Defensively both teams were solid, and shots were made but ultimately the Under 240.5 felt like a lock even at the beginning of overtime. That last minute was agony, thankfully the game finished at 239. It was a fantastic sweat but the stars aligned.

Tonight, Boston heads up north to face the struggling Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Being a Canadian this has become a full-fledged rivalry with most of my friends and family being massive Raptors fans. After years of splitting the season series, Boston has dominated of late. Unfortunately, Canada doesn't get to witness our future MVP Jayson Tatum but I expect Jaylen to have a big bounce-back game.

Let’s get into the picks:

1. Smart over 12.5 points -135

Marcus Smart loves playing the Toronto Raptors, simple as that. With Tatum out, I was surprised this line didn't move so I am hoping you all will see this in case it does. He has been far more aggressive and frankly has been pretty efficient all things considered. I expect him to bully Trent Jr. and Van Vleet in the low post and let's hope he can knock down a shot or two early.

2. Al over 1.5 3’s -150

I took it against Golden State and I am taking it again tonight. Al has been extremely valuable, not only is he able to stretch the floor as a center but his efficiency is unmatched. He looks for his shots which I love and even takes the odd corner 3 in transition which feels automatic. I like this even more with Tatum taking the night off as there will be plenty of shots for others. I am going to add a little on the side on Al knocking down 3 or 4 threes tonight.

3. Raptors Team Total under 110.5 +125

TEAMS STRUGGLE TO CRACK 100 POINTS VERSUS THIS CELTICS DEFENCE. I keep saying it game after game and it continues to be true. They turn up the heat in the second half of the season and when you have to beat Smart off the dribble then meet Rob at the rim your chances are slim. Just dropped a bar accidentally. If you feel as confident as I am this fine Saturday then under 108.5 is +160 and under 106.5 is +215.

4. OG Annunoby over 1.5 3’s

Toronto has been an up and down as of late, with disgruntled teammates, a lack of playing time and several trade rumours floating around. OG has been at the forefront of this and his asking price is high. Toronto is either going to have to knock down threes or strap up on the perimeter if they want to stay in this game. Annunoby is playing with a chip on his shoulder I expect a good night out of him.
