Report: Knicks inquiring about Guerschon Yabusele

Marc Berman of the New York Post reported Thursday that the New York Knicks have inquired about Celtics rookie forward Guerschon Yabusele ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

Yabusele joined the Celtics after the team made him their 16th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft and spending last season in China with the Shanghai Sharks.

In 22 games with the Celtics this season, Yabusele is averaging 1.8 points 1.4 rebounds while shooting 36% from three on limited attempts. He has bounced back and forth from the Maine Red Claws to get playing time, averaging over 20 points in seven games of G-League action.

There haven’t been any reports suggesting that the Celtics have reciprocated interest in moving Yabusele to New York. Boston has Yabusele under contract until the 2021-22 season after signing this summer.
